A commercial license allows a pilot to fly for compensation. It is the foundation for all professional pilot careers.
- Minimum 18 years of age upon completion
- Valid Private Pilot Licence, Aeroplane
- Valid Category 1 Medical Certificate
- Completed WWFC Membership Package
- Completed WWFC Rules & Regulations Package
- Completed Private Career College Admission Application (PCC#105919)
An applicant for a Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane shall have completed a minimum of 80 hours of Commercial Pilot – Aeroplane ground school instruction including mandatory subject areas. An applicant must have obtained a minimum of 60% on the written examination for Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane (CPAER). The Study and Reference Guild is available at:

An Applicant shall have completed a minimum of 200 hours total flight time in aeroplanes, including a minimum of 100 hours pilot-in-command time, with 20 hours cross-country pilot-in-command time; and:
- 35 hours post-private dual instruction time, which shall include:
- 5 hours night, including a minimum of 2 hours of night cross-country
- 5 hours cross-country, which may include the cross country experience from (a) above
- 20 hours of instrument light time in addition to the experience stated in (a) and (b). A maximum of 10 hours of the 20 hours may be conducted on an approved aeroplane simulator or flight-training device.
- 30 hours post-private solo flight time, which shall include:
- One solo cross-country flight to a point a minimum of 300 nautical miles in radius from the point of departure and shall include a minimum of 3 landings at points other than that of departure.
- 5 hours solo flight time by night during which a minimum of 10 takeoffs, circuits and landings were completed.

The holder of a Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane may:
- Operate single pilot, non-high-performance aeroplanes under VMC for hire or reward while employed by the holder of an air operator certificate
- Exercise the privileges of a PPL, night rating, and VFR OTT rating
